We sell to organisations, such as universities, learned societies and conference organisers, and not to individual consumers.
Terms and governing law
Our Terms, including the data processing agreement in Schedule 1, apply to every account and every plan. They are governed by the law of England and Wales. The privacy notice explains what we do with personal information, and Security and data lists the services we use and where data is held.
If we form a company to run Conference Desk, we will update this page and email account holders before the change takes effect, as the Terms describe.
Report abuse
Every conference page we host is reviewed before it goes public, but if you see one that looks wrong, please tell us. That includes a page that copies a real conference or society, asks for passwords or card details, invites payment to a fake event, or sends spam.
Email [email protected] with:
- the address of the page or a copy of the email you received;
- what is wrong with it, in a sentence or two;
- how to reach you, if you would like to hear what we did.
We aim to look at every report within 24 hours, including weekends. If a page is plainly fraudulent or harmful, we take it down at once and suspend the account while we look into it. We tell the organiser what we did and why, unless doing so would help someone cause harm.
To report a security weakness in Conference Desk itself, use the same address.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with the service, email [email protected] and say what went wrong. We reply within two working days. Complaints about personal information follow the procedure in our privacy notice.
Trademarks
Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Android is a trademark of Google LLC. Conference names and logos shown on hosted pages belong to their organisers.
